-
- Step1 - Use WebSTAR Admin to create an action.

- B. Enter the path to the AppleSearch cgi in the "application:" text field.
- For example: ":AppleSearch.acgi" (without the quotes)
- C. Enter the name of the action (I recommend ASEARCH)
- D. Click on the "Add" button.
- E. Click on the "Update" button.
-
- Step2 - Use WebSTAR Admin to add a suffix mapping entry.
- A. Select "Suffix Mapping..." from the "Configure" menu.
- B. Select the name of the action entered above from the
- popup menu labeled "Action:"
- C. Type a suffix into the "File suffix:" text field.
- (I recommend ".srch" Make sure you include the period - no quotes)
- D. You can leave the rest blank.
- E. Click on the "Add" button.
- F. Click on the "Update" button.
-
- Step3 - Change the URLs that access the AppleSearch cgi.
- A. Any place where your pages link to the cgi you need to change the URL from
- "AppleSearch.acgi$form" to "form.srch"
- B. If you use the $sources method change "AppleSearch.acgi$sources" to
- "sources.srch"
-
- Note: If you forget to change the URLs as described in Step3 the AppleSearch cgi will still work the old way.
-
- Enjoy!
